Toto was founded in 1976 by guitarists Jeff Porcaro, David Paich (who at the time were also famous studio musicians working with Boz Scaggs) and singer/bassist Bobby Kimball. After a short break, Toto resumes recording and continues to record their first live album entitled Absolutely Live in 1993 which includes a cover of Weezer's song Hash Pipe in response to the band performing their hit song Africa during the recent tour. Toto's touring group includes drummer Lenny Castro and bassist Shannon Forrest along with keyboardist Shem Von Schroeck.
